Stress

Stress is a natural response to challenging situations, known as stressors, where the demands placed on us exceed our coping abilities. While some stress can be motivating, persistent or overwhelming stress can adversely affect both our physical and mental well-being. This reaction triggers a "fight or flight" response, releasing hormones like adrenaline and cortisol.

Symptoms of Stress

The effects of stress can manifest in various ways, impacting both our minds and bodies. Common psychological symptoms include heightened anxiety, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and changes in sleep patterns. Physically, stress can result in headaches, muscle tension, digestive issues, and a weakened immune system. Long-term stress has been linked to serious health conditions such as cardiovascular problems, chronic pain, and mental health disorders.

Holistic Approach 

In kinesiology, stress is addressed by recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. In an Integrated Healing session we will focus on balancing the bodies energy systems to bring about emotional, physical, and spiritual harmony.
